They offer seasonal menu options, and we went during January 2025 and ordered the Premium Holiday Course for 6 along with a few individual items. Originally this set comes with mochi ice cream, but we have substituted it for smores. Overall, the food was beyond excellent, and the service nothing short of firstrate. The staff even agreed to take photos for us. The food included noodles, fried rice, edamame, all kinds of meat, shrimp, chicken, gyoza, salad, miso soup. Receipt came out to be about 384 and we tipped 60. Downtown San Mateo can get very busy, and we had to find parking a few blocks away. Definitely recommend. ”

Update Went again without a reservation Friday night around 11pm and were able to get a cozy little booth all to ourselves. Happy Hour this time. Highly recommend the house Sake.. Its smooth, sweet and milky white. Delish! We ordered the Shoyu Prime beef, Pork Belly and Chicken all perfectly sliced, served to our table and ready to cook. Excellent Second Experience! Third visit was better than the others. We tackled the Meatlovers Combo for two. A plethora of meats to make your mouth water. As well as Garlic noodles, salad,soup and Green Tea ice cream! “ plentiful food options. we ordered the 3 person recommended meat variety for 4 and it was sufficient. beef cuts were premium. we even liked the garlic mushroom and corns. not the biggest fan of their thicker cuts of meat as they are difficult to cook over the bbq. ”
